interior modeling, omni and daylight system issue
show user profile  kingsage18
I'm working on a 3D model of a bathroom and I have 3 omni lights in place for the strip lighting, however when I set up the daylight system the omni lights don't seem to be working when i render. I've been looking all over the net with varying answers to this problem.

so whats the best method on dealing with this.

feel free to send me a tutorial site or a video that address this thanks

daylight system is going to overpower your omnis no matter what... youll have to blast the intensity of the omnis to some crazy big number for them to be visible in the render.

i assume your bathroom has a ceiling, and that there is also a window in the bathroom

If you're rendering in mentalray use the mr daylight system and only add photometric lights. You'll also need to set mr exposure control. There are tons of tutorials on the web and pressing F1 and searching for mentalray daylight should set you on the right track.
