I'd say your biggest problem is the design of the space, loft apartments are usually double height spaces with exposed roof structure, lots of architectural interest and lots of space/light. What you have here is quite a traditional space with little of interest to focus on.

Don't forget it's not all about render settings, it's about subject matter and composition too.

specifically though it needs more character to the light, a more relaxing bedroom atmosphere and it needs to be dressed better to add life, also, covering your windows is removing depth and potential interest from the scene.

From "reality" standpoint you'd end up having surface mounted conduit supplying electricity to both of these sconces, since it looks like an exterior wall...

The bed looks like it swallowed an air canister ;) Pillows are just not real..

Keep on workin' ;)

I remember seeing a cool loft render here, more than 5 years ago? Large loft space, dark wood floor, white walls (painted brick).. Apparently the search goes only 3 years back. Any of you oldtimers remember what I'm talking about? I'm sure it was one of you :)

looking good,

the wall looks like it could fall if pushed hard enough, either take it all the way up or find a solution for it to be fixed to something, the right side of your render is a bit dark..
