show user profile  S. Silard
Hey guys , I pretty interested how can I make interactive flash website ,
There is some samples :
Only problem is , there is all website built to one theme . But I wanna do my own template . So I need to know what to use for it .

I don't know anything about that type of websites . So it would be nice if you say me what I need to learn to do that : What program / What Programming language . How to drop animations from 3DSmax and After effects . Blah blah . So please send me some useful links , if you can .

Thanks .

Congrats, you found my signature.

interactive flash applications are built using adobe flash. The language used is Actionscript, based on Java I think.

very easy to learn, get adobe flash and learn actionscript.

He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.

Omg please don't use flash.

I spend 000.2 sec on any flash site. In my personal opinion people use it when
a. they have very little content and need to 'jazz it up' or
b. they are trying to be 'flashy' and all they do is bog my pc down

/me shudders

Sorry about that, my fingers ran away with my brain ;)

I don't want make some complicate website with many animations , cause than people will look the site design , not the content .

I just wanna drop to center one Image slider/ gallery , nothing else . But I wanna make my own , Cause that image sliders what's already available is pretty sample/usual . I want my website to be a bit individual .

So thanks Jareu , I'll do that .
And thanks the advice guys , but now I will be a bit wayward .

Congrats, you found my signature.

actionscript is a derivative of javascript, not java.

I would stay away from flash. You do not need it to achieve a unique look. Good design will do just fine being static.
A lot of people use mobile devices these days to access websites and 99% of these devices do not have flash. There is a lot you can do with javascript and various scripts are readily available for free.
If you do decide to go with flash, be sure to use the swfobject script to embed flash and provide alternative content for non flash visitors.

Both Actionscript and Javascript are forms of ECMAScript.

I don't know why I'm posting that, the internet somehow compels and I must comply.

As far as the website goes, content is king. Flashy websites and especially wholly Flash websites are not necessary. *Looks at own website, and it's wholly flash* Ummm... yes, but I would change it if I had the time, besides I have no content! I'm working on that part...

There is actually a website out there to help you determine if you need a flash intro to your website, maybe it will help you make a decision.
It's proved very useful before!
