Re importing Edited UVs into mudbox?

I have taken a model of a butchers knife into mudbox, sculpted all my details and painted textures etc. Noticed a problem on the edge of the knife due to the uvs being very close together on this particular edge.
Is there anyway I can edit the Uv map in max and re import back to mudbox without affecting all the work iv done?
