ideas on how to make this
show user profile  plasticbag001
hi all-

I'm trying to create a scene like these and I'm getting stuck on how to render something that looks like the fine organic mesh connecting the spheres:

http://visualsunlimited.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Tissues-Organs/G0000y77Ul_JgMFk/I0000NvY3gi_Tsck

I got a script called cobwebs but the webs are too linear and take way too long to render. Any ideas about ways to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this is what you have already tried? but maybe this with a few noise mods to get some random nature to it? http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/plugins/labyrinth

Ivy Generator

http://www.guruware.at/main/

Model ya blobs and run it...without leaves ;)

Not sure how it subdivides tho' maybe a good starting point, maybe Realflow Fibres could handle this too ?

edit: I think ivy generator produces splines, you could use a particle / mesher approach on that.

haha cool, haven't played with it for years, I used it for a logo animation, made text, extruded, flipped the faces and made the ivy grow inside, hid the text and rendered, looked quite neat.

Cool, no worries, try Rebus Renderfarm, cheap as chips and renders in seconds. ;)
