How to i reproduce this?
show user profile  Jock
I'm a bit stumped here. I have a building thats built with almost matching materials, like a translucent cladding and i need the light inside.

At first i thought it would just be a case of messing with the refraction value but all that did wasa dim the light. For the light source ive just used a box inside the building, and the problem is the hard edges, i need soft edges like the example.

I'm wondering if the box needs a material with some kind of opacity map or something along them lines

Im sure im overthinking this and i should know the answer but its evading me ;)

Any help would be appreciated

aha cracked it

Was just a case of upping the glossiness in the refraction.

Should have known its just the same as frosted glass really
