How to fix these silly dark areas?????
show user profile  Justin101
Hi All,

Im doing a 3D floor plan in 3ds max using vray and vray sun. If you look at the image below,
some of the tighter rooms like in the hallway (top middle left) have a horrible darkness
going on. If anyone has some suggestions to fix this, please let me know.

Im using Adaptive DMC as image sampler
Primary bounce is irradiance map
Secondary bounce is brute force
noise threshold is 0.005

You could add some bounce lights.

Yea I was thinking about that, but I thought there may be a render setting
that I have missed that could fix it without adding a bunch of lights. But cheers.

Any other thoughts anyone?

Could also up the GI.

P.S. Pixar use bounce lights a lot (no GI, believe it or not), so it's a pretty old-school but valid approach.

This 3D view is looking ultimate. But yes, it is old too you have to change the view of it. In this you required 3D view. If you need more about it, can also visit this:http://platinumplatypus.com

Spam links don't work here, demetrius. We're a savvy bunch.
