hollow font after extrude
show user profile  m0j1
Hi , my first post here :) I'm actually not a digital artist and don't know much about 3ds max . I wanted to make a 3d font in FBX format . so I created the font in illustrator and then imported it in max and then extruded it . all of my letters are ok except my "R" letter . it is hollow and is not filled and only the outlines of my "R" letter is extruded. I wanted to know if there are any ways to fill my "R" letter.
I'll appreciate if someone can help me with this.
thanks very mych

You have an open spline, you need to find it by moving each vertex to see of the splines on either side of it move with the vertex.

@ 4:00 and @ 5:00 into this clip the guy tells what needs to be done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa6aIvazzKM

There's probably a better video out there but...
