Hilltop house interior
show user profile  rob@dynamic
Hi guys and girls,

Here's yet another interior from me. I wanted to create a minimalist room, with large open space, the aim of this is really to focus on my textures and lighting.

Be keen to get some initial feedback please. This is my first render test, prob spent about 3hrs in total so far.

Thanks

Theres not a lot in the scene. Thats not a problem as it still can be a great image but normally you would focus on something within the scene. At the moment you aren't focusing on anything specific and it looks a bit dull. If anything you are focusing on the laminate flooring which takes up 30 - 40% of your image.

It's very busy with no clear focus. Other than that, it looks great.

thanks for the comments guys. I see what you mean. Do you think bringing the spiral stairs forward so there closer to the camera and more focused would work?

What you you guys suggest doing?

Thanks for all the comments guys. I agree re. the camera. I will have a play around today see what I can come up with. I may go for a portrait render, as I want to extenuate the full length windows. Anyone got any ideas about what they would do with the camera?

Personally I think it's gone backwards. the first image may lack central focus but the overall feeling is light and spacious. Now the image feels cramped. the back of the chairs is very dark and the TV is still on. If you really want to leave the TV on I'd consider putting something less ugly on it. I'm guessing that you like football and want to put a bit of your personality in the image but it is fighting visually and screams chain pub. I'm not a fan of the sofa/chairs either.

These are all just my personal feelings though. for whatever the're worth. keep on it! :)
