You guys remember that "commercial" autodesk did for maya? the one following that guy around like a 'day-in-the-life' or whatever? I think it was a hipster dude with a laptop

I'm hoping someone has a link to it or remembers what it's called.. i can't find it anywhere

Oh yeah, the ridiculously terrible "entirely irrelevant stock footage" campaign. Nothing sells 3D Generalist Packages better than walks on the beach, guitars and shiny white teeth. I guess their marketing department decided to distract customers from the absurdly high price-tag for the total lack of new development/features.

"You know that cracked copy of Maya you have from 2008? Well it's time to chuck it. Because you can afford $4.17 a day."

That one still cracks me up. I mean, the average person who decides to maybe have a crack at 3D will read, "You know that cracked copy of Maya..." close that page, and load up pirate bay. Cracking job, marketers.

[edit] Speaking of bad adverts, sort of. Has anyone noticed that you've never seen an obese person in a McDonald's, or Coke-a-Cola, or any junk food advert? Surprised the fat-acceptance dickheads (you know, the one's who push for morbidly obese catwalk models) aren't kicking up a fuss about the discrimination. All these fat people denied work in fast-food adverts just because of their size. Shameful, ain't it.
