High Detail Christmas Tree Tutorial
show user profile  Cosmic Fool
Hey everyone, I've finally finished off that Christmas Tree tutorial that I promised:

It was written really late at night for the last 4 nights so I'm sure there's probably some mistakes, or things that aren't explained clearly. If you find any mistakes, or parts that aren't as clear as they could be, could you please let me know? The end was a bit rushed, but I wanted to make sure I had this thing finished so that anyone who wanted to use this for Christmas related stuff would be able to do so before the end of this week.

Tomorrow I'll add a link to it from my tutorial page and break the tutorial itself up into multiple pages. Right now it's all in one file which is equivalent to about 10 pages in MS Word.

So, without anymore delay, here's a link to the tutorial:

Modelling a High Detail Christmas Tree:

As always, let me know what you think.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I've updated the formatting for the tutorial. It's now been divided into seperate pages to reduce the loading times.

If anyone follows through with this tutorial, please post up what you've got.

Thanks Vlady.

It took me about 5 hours to create the tree from scratch, including coming up with the technique to do it.

I did the tutorial quite some time ago =) what was the render attributes & background & everything you used for it ? on my pc... it takes forever just to rotate it inside 3d studio.
