Getting rid of spots!!!
show user profile  Justin101
Hey all,

Can anyone suggest some changes I can make to my settings to get rid of the spots on the ceiling
and big flat surfaces? It is even more obvious on the hi-res version. Please refer to the picture below.

I am using 3ds max 2015, vray 3.0, irradiance map, brute force and reinhard colour mapping,
noise threshold set to 0.009. People sometimes suggest to use light cache for secondary bounces in stead of brute force, but brute force looks better with better lighting and especially shadows.
Any suggestions to get rid of the spots would be much appreciated.

Thanks
