gamma 2.2 correction on batch rendering...
show user profile  gibsgibus
Hi there !

It's my first post ! :D
Well, I'm struggeling with gamma correction while rendering my scenes via a *.bat file I wrote and launch through the command line... everyting runs properly and renderout fine exept that the gamma correction of 2.2 i put in the max scene isn't taken into consideration. It's skipped. It uses the default 1.0 correction, which means really dark images...

anyone could help ?

here is some screenshoots: I think the syntax is good, but well, when I run the .bat with this very line "gammaCorrection:<1> , it tells me it can't find "the file"...

EDIT: how to I do to make an image appears here and not only the html link ? sorry.. I'm noob here ;)

You could try saving as 32 bit format like EXR and doing gamma correction in PS.

wow thanks guys for the quick reply ! I appreciate !

well, actually those render are supposed to be an animation. I'm doing some "light" post-production on adobe after effect but I really don't know if and how I could correct the gamma in AE from 32 bit *.targa images ? Do you have any Idea ?

I can't do this with photoshop unfortunately.

here you can see a "preview" of the future final animation :)

I would imagine adjusting gamma in AE is fairly straight forward, try the help files.
