What is a powerful gaming laptop I can get today for a budget of 800 dollars something that can work crysis or GTA 4. Also something that can render quickly in 3ds max.

Thanks.

I bought the Asus G51J about half a year ago, and it was only $1400 back then. Probably cheaper now, if they still sell it.

Runs crysis on all ultra smooth, fallout on all max, and so far it's never had a single problem with any games at full res/quality. It's also got a i7 cpu for good rendering.

Specs:
4gb ddr (could have been more, but no problems so far)
full HD screen
Intel Core i7 cpu
GTX 260M gfx card, which runs all the games I've tried on full with no problem.
640gb HDD (7200rpm)

all great about that laptop, and it's global warranty, and good service. I like Asus =)

Would it be better to buy the Asus G73 jh or the new Alienware m 17x? All the reviews i find for the m17x are for the old one which uses nvidia the new one uses ati.

gogodr, the new m17x cannot be customized to use nvidia it only uses ati. The asus g73jh also uses ati so which is better?
