Game and CGI
show user profile  Master_Soda
Hi everyone, there is something bothering me about 3d and other visual effects in films and games :
Are video game graphics considered as CGI?
and if I wish to compare these two how should I refer to game graphics?

I think Game graphics is denoted by the term real-time.

a lot of extra tricks, smarts and technology has to be used to pull of good looking graphics in real-time.

He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.

It's the same thing, the only difference is in one you're software rendering (or hardware if you got the right kind) to a single static frame, while the other is rendering through hardware to a frame buffer.
