ahhh friends, and to some degree; my digital family afar.

so as some of you had known, life took a rather interesting turn of events last decemeber when i found myself on the short end of a stick labeled employement.

shitty as they have been, the last 5 months of life have taught me quiet a bit about this whole shebang we live in.

perhapes, and in a way almost certainly all of it's for the better... sometimes lifes best lessons are taught and understood while on your ass.

---

and now? some things i've been working on since the world turned up side down.

- i expanded my corporation to the aftermarket automotive industry. specifically for my much loved 5th generation camaro... who knew i could draft in CAD like a monkey? currently were working on getting licensing approved with GM.

further, we've got new tail lights and a small grouping of other premium parts in the works. very exciting stuff.

first 3d prints of the prototypes (meant as a replacement to the large chevy bowtie on the front of the new camaro for the V8 crowd [who get the SS moniker as part of the V8 car]):

- next month or so, we'll be getting into iPad app developement... can't talk much about it but i'llbe sure to post up into the offtopic section when things start to get under way.

- while my interst in 3d is changing quiet a bit (i hit a mark and a point last year that i had set out for myself) there's a giant developement in the past 2 weeks or so that i can't wait to talk to you guys about. can't say anything currently but it's even more awesome then the above stuff.

- a friend of mine got me in the know of a contest that ended tonight for a company called skinit.

they make stickers from 3M materials made to go on everything from your gadgets to your walls to your cars. the contest ran since mid march and tonight things wrapped up. 140 entries, should be fun seeing who gets picked for recognition.

the contests prizes were 5k USD to each best of each of the 6 catagories (3 product types, in 30 and 60 second varieties). of those 6 one should get chosen for the grand prize of another 20k USD.

great idea on skinits part, they couldn't pay 50k to get the amount of publicity and buzz generated by the contest; and someone will win at least 25k as the grand prize winner.

i threw my hat in the mix, and got 4 1080p sized commercials out of it. the power of a canon 5dmk2, a bevy of software, and a lot of fucking time does make for some fun stuff. had a blast working on them and who knows, maybe i win something.

my submissions:

here's the list of entries:
http://challenge.skinit.com/pg/search

had a blast working on them, and for being had done them in between working actual paying gigs i'm remarkably happy with the 4. huge thanks goes out to those who dealt with me for the past month of insanity and helped me make those commercials possible. amazing how much full HD commercials eat up on a NAS.

- i've got a website in the making to use under the fronat.com domain i've picked up for myself. again, can't talk about it (booo) but i think it should interst a good percentage of you. stay tuned.

------------------------

so yeah, wanted to share somethings with you lot.

hope those of you who have been eating shit these past months/quarters/half years start to see some light ahead. things eventually, do turn around.

onto the next set of goals to cap off for this year. cheers.

-Marko Mandaric

those are really nice. Good stuff, hope you win something.
The captions on the 'drinking' one are a nice touch :)

Very nice mate.

I am concerned though,.....this amount of work implies that you might have cut down on your drinking....and we can't have that.

#3 was nice but more of something you show to the friends who were with you on that rampage of an evening.

So my vote goes to... *drumroll* ...#4. Yeah.

Good stuff bolts, keep us posted, sounds like you got a lot going on. I agree the last one is the best, then the first. The middle two seemed to drag on forever, but maybe I'm just not patient enough.
