| Frisbee animation |

Hi
I have a Frisbee type of object animated along a path. When I try to rotate it on it's local axis to give it some 'spin' for some reason it rotates on its other axis also. Is there a workaround for this, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Not entirely sure about 3ds Max but with C4D what i do is simply group the object, apply path or other animation to group and animate the individual axis rotation to the object within the group itself.. I think the issue relates to gimbal lock and euler coordinates and whatever..
GOT SICK OF OLD SIG HAVE AT THIS NEW ONE

I don't know if you can path-constrain a group but if not you can use a dummy. Or rotate the texture instead.

Thanks chaps
Not sure if it's me being stupid but that does not seem to work.
I created a dummy that followed a path. linked the group to it and then spun the logo within the group using local coordinate system.
Doesn't seem to work. strange.

Garp's method is the way to go here I think. The order you set up the animation and linking is the most important. Check out the vid below.

Thanks so much for doing that for me ccampbell, much appreciated! I now have it working so aa big thanks to all of you!
I ended up having to do it in a separate file and merging to get it to work propa for some reason.
Thanks again!
