Very very interesting, and excellent since it isn't... Autodesk.

Yeah. There are threads about it all over the place on the MODO forum.
For two months they've been speculating about who Carlyle is going to sell to. And just when it was calming down, this came up.

I know it's not going to happen, but I'd love for Nuke to be put on the cloud package :D

so long as it isn't autoderp. And to be honest, Nuke 4.5, can satisfy most needs, back when it was OG D2. :) -

I heard a podcast recently in which they talked about how Nuke can build a seamless, stereoscopic, full spherical pano from 14 cameras. Since the cameras can't occupy the same space - obviously - there are variations in parallax that need to be corrected, along with differing lens distorsions and possibly other things.
Just thinking about the maths involved completely blew my mind!

A bit off topic but just pointing that it's a really worthy piece of software.

Seems like Adobe is learning from Autodesk... buy out the competition.

Didn't actually realise Nuke was British..

As much as I like Adobe etc, I wonder how it would affect the development of something like Nuke, will it be tamed/restrained by usual shareholder accountability etc etc of the larger company.. Be interesting to see..
