flag animation, loopable

hi folks,

for a specific project i need to make a flag animation loopable. any idea how to achieve this? i know how to use cloth modifier etc. and how to animate a flag - but how could this be made loopable within a specific frame range? ideas welcome :-) --

You could use the wave modifier / maybe a mix between this and the noise modifier- finish the seed at 1 and it should be the same as the start frame.

Dont have a clue aboot the cloth mod- I suck :p

simulate your flag blowing, convert tokey frames, then find a time in the simulation where the flag approximates the starting shape, delete the keyframe at that point and several before it(creating keyframes makes one for every frame so you want to create a natural blend) then shift copy your first keyframe to this point. Takes some playing around to create a natural blend but its the easiest way i could find of doing it.

There is a tutorial about a flag c omming with MAX. Just look at it. I think it'under Cloth und Flex. --------------------------------
