Find object speed?
show user profile  mr_pablo
Is there a way to find an objects speed?

I need to quickly determine how fast an object is going in km/h, m/s etc

I found this very old script that isn't working in Max 2016
http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/speedometer-2

Could someone fix it, or give me another solution?

If you have vray you could use a velocity render element. That gives you fastest velocity in whichever rendered frame. MR might have an equivalent.

Don't know if that helps any if you need the information live for scripting reasons.

Reminds me of that guy with a phD in astrophysics that couldn't compute an ellipse.
