Hi everyone!
I want to bake an indirect illumination pass into my scene.
Where can I start? and if it's possible at all ?

You need to have unwrapped the model first.
Then press '0' above the letters on your keyboard to bring the 'render to texture' dialogue.
Select the object in question.
Add 'lighting map' to the list a little way down,
Make sure 'existing channel' is checked.
Choose the size of the texture you are dealing with.
Choose a location for the lighting map at the top of the dialogue window.
Hit render at the bottom of the window (this isn't the same as the regular render button)

Don't use the image that renders in front of you, its not the same, use the file that gets saved.

rtt dialogue shorcut is 0 (zero) i thought
i'm on max 8/9 though so it might have changed in later versions- if so i bow to your greater knowledge the grotes
