Maxunderground news unavailable

films; a strange request.....
show user profile  STRAT
Hi chaps

Can anyone suggest any good sites i can go visit?

The wife and I want to gen up on what's available to rent in the DVD market these days. Anything from the last 10 years or so up to current. We're starting one of these online rental services, but they usually require at least 20+ or so titles from yourself to put on your list to start you off. Thing is, me and the wife aren't (or haven't really been) film buffs up until now so we'd get stuck putting together a list of 5 probably :)

So can anyone suggest a good site i can visit that'll fill me in on what's out there? what film is what, with good potted descriptions. maybe a pdf or so i can download and scan through at my leisure? The topic and subject is quite irrelevant as we like a large range or stuff, from anything to anything, well known or not.

ta :)

This has full movie links but is user rated and has user reviews, you dont have to watch them.

Haha, that's what I read too. These video delivery services look good but I do feel a little for the local video shop owners.

Nothing related to the topic, I didn't know where to post ;)

Saw your website, Strat. Great work. 10 pages of portfolio in such short time.

Lot of good work there.

Whats the studio setup like, that is if you can share the information.

Edit - How could you not include mf in the link section :D

Girish - cheers mate.

we needed to rush out the site to suit a purpose at the time, but our web developer is now working up an editor for us so we ourselves will be able to update imagery, links, info etc etc to our own choosing any time we wish. this function should become active within a few weeks.
we're having a blog section, tuts, downloads, anims. a lot more to come.

Also, a fair amount of that work is old stuff from one of my colleagues. most of my 'best' imagery isn't and wont be there because it's non-buzzbox work. always the same eh?

as far as set up goes, there's only 3 of us in the Bay area of the city, and we share office space with other multimedia companies. in our room are 2 other companies for example. it's most cheap, and great fun :)

The studio setup looks good.

Where are the rendering pcs :-)

I wish I could get something like that, must be cheaper than to set up a entire place of 1000 sqft
Surely a money savior

Gives me a idea to look out for someone who wants to share and work.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers

our mac pros are under the desks :)

it certainly is cheaper to rent shared office space in this way. we're basically renting desk space, but we have use of a fully utilised modern building with great security, facilities, uber fast broadband, and technical support, all for around a 1/3 of the cost of renting our very own place.

plus, you get to meat and interact with more different people every day. it's really nice to be honest.

'meat'

:P sounds funny when you read it

Seriously, excellent idea for starting up.

Great idea. "me starts looking very soon"
I hope we go have such great opportunities around like that.

Our government sucks big time in helping business and small sized firms. Even for loans you need 1000's things. I have heard you guys have better luck at this. And a lot of other things.

Well mainly the temperatures good for the pc's. It's around 36*C here and my Quad is heating up
