so I decided it's about time I set up a faecesbook page.
tried adding a page to my personal account & it creates one of those awful cluttered timeline things.
so instead I rebranded my personal account as the corporate one. the problem with that is you have to accept friends rather than just allowing someone to like to post.
any idea how I can create a basic corporate page with wall that someone can just "like" ?

Pages are getting the new time line on the 30th of March anyway, so I'm guessing any "new" pages created are automatically updated to this. You can't avoid it, and although I don't personally use the time line myself (because I'm not fussed either way), there's really nothing wrong with it. It certainly looks better than your own website!
Your other option is to look into groups, but this is almost certainly not what you want.

tried that manny - added link above showing what I have & what I want.
probably just being impatient. there's likely a 'don't use retarded page format' checkbox somewhere that I'm missing.
there is plenty wrong with the new format dave - it's a cluttered mess.

They are the same.. Every Facebook page will have the timeline layout at the end of this month.
The other page you posted, just has the old page layout..

No, you could also just not use facebook at all.
Maybe you should start an unsuccessful blog and just moan about facebook being totally gay while pimping your own website, which is actually totally gay.

I didn`t like it either AS, but switched recently to timeline. I have to say mate it`s a LOT better than the old one, much less linear. But - it`s entirely dependent on content to look good, if there`s nothing there of course it looks shit, even the old layout look drab with nothing on it - check out my facebook it`s awesome, it`s the best facebook page in the world (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1584908013
). Okay maybe not THAT good but i like it..
Not entirely sure how this works for business/fan-pages etc, but i imagine the layout is much the same just more how people interact with it that differs...
