Face Modeling
show user profile  litoburrito
I am modeling my own face right now (or at least trying to) and I'm coming across some complications. I don't really know how to upload my .max file so I can't show you guys what it looks like, but I'll explain it.
I added a turbosmooth to an edit poly (after I had modeled my face) and for some reason i am getting like cracks in my face. It's not a complete smooth object.
Please help,
Thanks.

Post a screenshot with wireframe mode on. Use photobucket or postimage, to do so.

Those middle vertices should be touching. Are you using the symmetry modifier? If no, I suggest you to do so. Then study face topology, I would start with quad polygons that follow main face muscles: orbicularis oris, orbicularis oculi, temporalis, etc. Look at thishttp://www.phungdinhdung.org/Studies_paper/Realistic_face_modeling.shtm
