F9 render screen 'stuck' in front perspective
show user profile  stopandstare

Hi All,

I am trying to learn Max but have run into a little problem. All of a sudden when I try to preview render anything the only view it will render is the front perspective view. I have tried resetting the project and stating again, closing Max and starting it up and I have also tried googling the problem but I have not been able to find a solution!

Has anyone had this problem before... I'm really stuck because of it!

press F10, choose your view, press render. Close it when done, try F9 again

Hi Horizon,

Thanks for getting back to me... that worked! I kept searching google earlier because I literally couldn't work on without seeing what I was doing and eventually I found a shortcut - press Shift+Q when in the perspective you want to render then press F9 and it till render it.

What I don't understand is how this changed. Prior to opening max this time what ever viewport was active was rendered... bonkers... but from what I read - bonkers is something I'm gonna have to get used of with max ;-)!

Thanks again!
