Easy way

Hi guys, i think someone had post a tutorial of something like that before but i am a bit confuse about this thing.

Two methods i tried were

1. Tried modeling from planes(rotating, pushing and pulling vertices). Which took much time.

2. Modeled 7 sided star, editable poly,extrude, collapsed and then cut tools but then was confused bout sides :P

So anyone would like to share the easy way with me, specially herfst and garp.

If you need a 7 point star, start with a 14 sided cylinder. Delete all but the front face. Select every second vert around the edge and scale inwards. Done.

I meant i tried with 7 sided(points star) :D doesn't matter how many points or side you wanna choose. All i want is to know the easiest way to model this thing.

Create a plane with random segments -> convert to poly -> Graphite tools -> Topology -> Skin -> add noise done :)

Oh, he actually wants to model that ? I read this as wanting to know how generate simple random triangular mesh patterns.

That's basically the method, make more time. :)

Nope, we can see it... now wtf is it?

[edit] If that's a snap shot of what you want to make then just draw it from front view as a flat plane, then pull the verts forwards or backwards till it looks close.

That shape is a deformed 7pointed star.
Start with that, mimic the topology and push and pull some vertices to get to that, whatever it is, shape. Got?
