Displacement Texture

How can I do my ceilings have a displacement as the ones on the photo?







Also having problems on how mapping that form properly?

What do I have to select on UVW Map to map it correctly?

I don`t know if I'd use displacement. Maybe reactor- if it behaves-, or try modeling them. Anyway, press "show in viewport" in the map slot inside the material editor, and maybe individual cylinder maps, play a little...

If your trying to get the folds in the second pic. i would uv map then take in to Zbrush and sculpt them folds, make a normal map and apply in max, or make a bake in max with a highpoly sculpted mesh then apply to your lower geom.

With that as my example, I tried to do a texture on psd but instead of using radial blur I used motion, but it just keep on watching awful, does someone know how to do just the material, without modeling?

why not use the cloth modifier in max?
