Discovering Array
show user profile  tincan3d
I was watching some of those basic videos from Lynda.com and what toggle snaps and arrays do and just tried something on my own and discovered this effect. Well maybe not an effect really but it's cools to see something like this. Maybe this could be used to devide cell organism or a growing root on a tree

WMV file.. may not run on firefox.

If that doesnt load just go to this link.

I guess a lot of people do overlook array and the fact that its animatable

Well, the spinners don't turn red. So I didn't know if it could be done or not. never hurts to try I guess. if you could manipulate size/width and maybe tweak the edges I'm guessing you could create a growing tree root effect. But i would assume that wouldn't be the way to do it. just thought i'de post this cause I notice other new members come on here.

yeah, the spinners dont turn red because you are not actually animating the array quality..if you look at track view youll see that what is happening is that many instances are being created and what youre actually doing is animating their relative positions over time. still very effective.
