DirectX 10, visible edges, normals acting weird

I want DirectX 10 for the clarity of bitmaps in the viewport. But, all the geometry edges are displayed in the wireframe and I have instances where normals act funny.

max dx10 driver is incomplete. use dx9 or nitrous on 2012.

Geometry I created while in Directx 9 does not show edges. Weird.

think it's in configure driver match bitmap size as closely as possible but 100% sure.

I bypass max default viewport rasterizer & use my own.
