I have rendered a Scene with 3dsmax 2014 with Vray adv 2.40.04 for 2:14 min
and the same Scene with 3dsmax 2016 with Vray adv 3.20.02 for 0:54 min
Why ?
Is this the same quality ?

Vray 3 has had numerous improvements which make your renders faster.

Embree is a software made by Intel which speed up certain calculations when an Intel CPU is used. Software that incorporates this gets a speed boost from Intel chips.
