Design question ...
show user profile  spoon
I've made this a while ago. Nowhere near finished, like the bar on the bottom should only be visible on smartphones (actually i should just remove it), but you get the idea. Not sure if i should continue with this or throw it away and start something new. Of course, if i start something new, im still a crap designer :)

(scale your browser window to see how it behaves on smaller screens. The scaling is off and needs lots of tweaking though)

You can be rude if necessary :)

Ow, that's cool! :)
And you are using Azure! :D I'm studying Azure and .NET development right now.

I would love to see Maxforums with a responsive design! Keep it up mate!

I like it. The font is a good choice, imo. I kinda miss having the side bar menu. I also just found the equivalent menu at the top next to the logo.

Which brings me to my two main crits:
1. As implied, the top menu is hidden to all but the vigilant user at first glace. It's also squashed to the left.
2. Not loving the logo. I think we should do a mini maxforums competition to design a cool logo.

It's a start, a very early one with few features, but I like the round edges and responsiveness, hope to see it develop.

Don't listen to the old farts reluctant to change...new is the future :)

throwing my 2 cents as a web designer:

The top toolbar is a no go as it is.

The footer toolbar is something you would see in an iOS app, not a website.

There is a menu button on the top right, if you want to make a sidenav then the standard is to put it on the left side.

In the table there is no indicator for the topics. (there is for the author, messages and date)

The table could use a little more padding.

links for the posts shouldn't all have underscore. it makes reading more difficult.

In the threads you just have "comments" like replies.
With this approach I would expect a main content (OP) that has a minimum height and maybe more details about the author than the commends.
also signatures.

The good things:
Really nice minimal flat design on the table.
Color pallete is ok, not displeasing to the eyes, easy to read.

Hello there

beautiful ;3

It's a start... right direction but needs more love.

All those critiquing, we should probably include why we feel the way we do.

It's not bad.
Nice and simple layout. The slight spacing between posts/replies may make it faster to distinguish between posts in a thread.

If we keep the current signature rules, then I could definately work with that layout.

Lovely colors.

Terribly boring signature.
