Please view the image above first to understand my issue.

Issue: When I load my own custom UI, the issues in the above image arise. The option to create a phys-cam from view disappears AND the right-click quad menu in the layer manager gets replaced by that white menu which doesn't include DELETE. So I cannot delete empty layers.

All I've done is added some Graphite Modeling tools to my CTRL+RIGHT CLICK quad menu + loaded my custom hotkeys. Why would this affect anything else? I can work around the phys-cam thing but not being able to delete empty layers is terrible! Any thoughts? Thanks!

Your link is evil.

Use photobucket or something to just post it here.

I think it's because the layer you're trying to delete is active. You see the grey icon for the default layer that looks like 3 pieces of paper stacked on top of each other? Click that to make it blue/active. Now you should be able to delete Layer001.

As for your quad menu stuff, not really sure how that ties into this? Not to mention that the quad menu only pops up in the viewport, so you shouldn't expect to see it if you're right clicking layers.

Weird, herfst1... the link works fine for me even when I'm not signed in. Hmm...

Dave, even with a different layer active, I get the same issue. And yeah, I don't know why my custom quad menu would mess with the layer manager but it only happens when I load my custom UI (which only changes my quad menu). Thanks for the suggestion.

Any one else experience this or something similar?

ooooh I see.

Are you loading in your custom quad menu from an earlier version of max? I've done this in the past with some pretty squiggly results.
