Curtain brushes modeling|animating
show user profile  khamski
hey, let me start my development blog here
We start working on a new commercial for a little textile store.
I decided to warmup on these guys .

I started to experiment with max hair&fur

because i want those strings to fall of softly on some plane.

So far i can say that max hair&fur is not capable of doing it.
Those hairs are not smooth and if i add segments max crashes...

So i continue digging.
Results will be thrown here asap.

Animating brushes with a hair or a reactor seems like a pain for me yet now...
So i keep the ball rolling by modeling pillows.

*edit:i know, iknow.. folds suck

I'm no good with it, but would cloth work as an alternative tool?

blog continues
I am about to post my work routine.
Btw just noticed that mr doesn't have a dirt texture.

I noticed it while i was manually converting vray scene materials to mr.

I solved the problem by finding cool plugin called RichDirt.
But still why mr doesnt have a native dirt?
