Creating procedural maps
show user profile  Mr_Stabby
Since there are plugins out there that do this im pretty sure its possible to create your own procedural maps in max, however google is proving to be very unhelpful in this regard. Anybody know where should i look?

You can get the source code for the Bercon Maps. Could be a useful place to start.

And just as a note - Berconmaps does not support mentalray.

You can also use metaSL from Mental Images. http://www.mentalimages.com/products/mental-mill.html

if you have 3dsmax 2011 - then you can get mentalmill for free here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=15789162&linkID=9241178
