Corona pricing structure announced for V1.0
show user profile  Nik Clark
As expected, the prices seem really reasonable, and the student license allows commercial work. Can't tell you how much I love this renderer.

I'm a huge fan of Corona too. Unique and fair pricing structure. Very cool.

Nik do you know Master Zapp ? Mental Ray guru.
He is actually the guy who made me love mR (his tutorial).

I got crazy idea that he went to Corona development.

I know of Zapp, but I don't think he's a Corona developer, as he works at Autodesk. I could be wrong. It does, however, have Jeff Patton's (implied by use) seal of approval, which means quite a bit.

err, wow....had to give this a shot, pretty impressive, I don't know why, but I instantly have more patience when rendering progressively, early days but so far really impressed, just loaded a vray scene, ran the material convertor , dropped a couple of purple gooseberry's in the scene and that was it.

A few materials issues, but I touched nothing before the render...pretty cool for 12 mins on a dual core laptop ..I may get hooked :)

What kind of light setup did you use?
I also tried to play with it a little- took a brat scene, put two corona lights but I got pretty strange looking results so I put it aside for now

I literally just dropped two corona lights in the scene (big purple hairy things) and disabled all the vray ones, ran the material convertor script and hit render, I'm blown away by the colours, switching to corona to finish of a series of these pcb board renders for a client, it just looks so damn good, and I love watching them render...I hate buckets now :)

They just released a bunch of videos featuring the interactive renderer. Maybe Marko is referring to that?

I've been using the interactive renderer. It is pretty damned good.
