Looking for copy of 'trainmaker' script.

Hi all,

I just wondered if anyone had a copy of the 'trainMaker' script by Conny Klasson? I tried downloading it from scriptspot but the link is dead :( If anyone has a copy I would greatly appreciate getting my hands on it.

Failing that if anyone knows a good way to animate a bike chain without using pathDeform (it gives weird results) then that would be great too.

What do you mean by 'weird results' path deform has worked great for me in the past on a bike chain

Well when I apply the modifier to my chain whenever the path passes through the Y-Axis the chain seems to twist. I tried normalising the spline before applying the modifier to the mesh and that didn't work.

The chain is feeding through a rear derailleur so it goes back on itself at one point which is where the problem occurs.

uyou should be able to do it, pathdeform is all i used here.

Well, that is exactly what I am looking for. So there was no fancy trickery, did you normalise the spline? Are you using the WSM or the standard pathDeform?

Cheers for the example grotey, you have shown me the light at the end of the tunnel. Now I just need to figure out how to reach it :S

At the time I wasd using the satandard pathdeform modifier as I was una2ware of the WSM one. however this was the biggest pain in the ass to get right as it doesnt have the 'move to path' button and its really messes it up, I had to do a hell of a lot of sodding about to get it looking right. (like at least an hour of sodding about)

heres how it should work for your using the wsm modifier, few seconds and its done...
