converting a 3D mesh into a helper Gizmo

can this be done in max or not?

I would like to convert a 3D human mesh into a Gizmo to be used with vRay FogEnviron(Environ tab) so it looks like a StarTrekky teleporter.

Don't know if there's any limitations to the mesh, but your in the right place to ask ;)

thanks for the script, which works fine except that when I go into the vray FogEnviron parameters, I can't Add/Pick the Gizmo in the scene.

Can't you just select a mesh as fog gizmo and make it non renderable ?

ok, just selecting the mesh as a Gizmo worked great.
