I have a bit of an issue that I was hoping to get some guidance on.

I have 13 files that I would consider master files each with different content. They can not all be in the same file at once due to the insane poly count.

At various times multiple people will be working on different pieces of geometry from some of these files. That updated geometry will then need to be incorporated into each master file.

Almost always when other people are working on the files it will be a combination of parts of the master files. (e.g. Maybe 50 out of 300 pieces of geometry from one file, 45 out of 100 from another and 6 of 60 from another master file.) Most of the content from these master files is used as reference for changes made to content in only one master file.

The parts of geometry that change (in this example, the one that had 6 parts merged in) will then need to be incorporated into that respective master file.

Vault doesn't seem to have the degree of version control that I need. My current version control is a huge stack of papers and spreadsheets.

I hope that makes sense - I can try to provide a more detailed description with examples if needed.
