connecting pc's
show user profile  STRAT
Hi guys

My new MacPro has just been delivered to head office and is being bastardised as we speak to suit my needs before they send it on to me. The up shot is, it'll have mac OS Lion installed as it's only operating system.

So, when it arrives here it'll be plugged directly into my broadband router, as is my XP64 and XP32 machines.

How do i make all my computers visible to each other via the router? can each computer show up in each other's Explorer/Finder as an extra drive? even with the Mac OS?

What i really want is a fast fluid way of data transfer between pc's, and i suspect this is the best way?

How? (in plain english pls, this is me you're talking to now ;)

thank you

if you're connecting a lion you're gonna need a steady supply of replacement sheep.

not sure about this. sounds expensive and a lot of hassle.

hi guys.

all google links i click on i find extremely confusing. very confusing.

i've made my make share enabled. but what about my pc? must this be allowed to share too? how?

then how do i get the mac and pc to see each other and file share? both are hard wired to the same router.

lions were never meant to roam the wales wide web.

it'll end in tears.
