Computing vs health

Hey guys.

Most of us here are very regular computer users. So what I am wondering, how much time a day do you guys spend on sitting behind your screen and actually spending time to stay in shape?

The image of a computer-guy is mostly the average guy but just.... a bit bigger.

Still in the post yourself forum I saw quite some guys here er in good shape or even skinny.

I used to work out about half an hour a day or one complete hour. Also I often went away on my bicycle just for a trip or a walk.
Since I got a fulltime job this has become a bit more difficult although I walk every day to the trainstation (which is a 15 min walk X2 so 30 min a day walk.)


I came up with this yesterday and I gotta say... Yesterday I "bicycled" according to the computer 40 km while being on msn, photoshopping and watching a family guy eppisode:

So, what do you guys do to stay in shape?

Gym 2x a week
Train in Martial arts 3x a week :D

How do you keep a steady hand whilst cycling?

i ride my bike for about 80/140 km a week at 30+ average and regular biking to work :)
With my balanced diet of beer and asian food i keep in shape.

I do 30 mins on a cross trainer for 5 days a week and then play badminton for 2 hours for 2 days a week.

I eat fat food and drink plenty of alcohol in order to maintain my shape..

round is a shape.

biking every second day, and light workout every other day. I visit the gym with my brother on saturdays.

and its not a tight schedule heh, I am pretty relaxed person. I dont care if I miss something ( as long as is doesnt influence anyone else)

I bang my wife 3x a day.

Look it up, way more burning calories then sitting on a bike and tbh, it's more fun.

Think the joke "I bang kb's wife 3X a week" is a bit too far, innit? (A)

Seriously it's quite easy to train and have a steady hand. I wouldnt work-out and do precise work at the same time tho, but it is very do-able :)

maxwin, show her some calorie burning numbers, that'll convince her.

Steve, check the numbers.

Riding your bike for 30 minutes give you approx 400 burned calories.
Riding your wife for 30 minutes give your approx 600-800 burned calories.

But true, kinda hard to keep on working while doing it.

Crosstrainer 60 min. 5x per week and started eating healthier. Weight loss 25 kg since december.

Steve: I'm in front of the pc 8 to 12 hours a day, I'm in good/healthy shape and slightly underweight. Now I've practised sports all my life until recently and I've discovered that 2x25 minutes outside on the bycicle a day (going to work and back) is all that I need to feel good and stay in relative good shape.

i bang kb's wife too and must say it really works =]

i read a guy made a trainingbicycle with a laptop on it to play wow all day and lost a huge amount of weight..

i for one am buying a wii to get some execise in between renders, i know its lame but every little bit helps :)

edit: but be aware that sitting on a trainingbike all day could result in some serious back problems over time, same with banging ofc ^^
