What is the best company for printing posters cheap?
show user profile  Amish.bob
Hi. Haven,t been around in a while.
I,m planning on printing a large old image of my grandfather on a poster. and while I,m at it, I want to print out a few of the old panoramas in this gallery:
http://www.loc.gov/pictures/search/?st=grid&co=pan

I really like how some of them look, and I think they would look good on a wall.
But does anyone know what is a good place for good quality A0 posters?
I,ve noticed that in the Uk it,s really cheap, but they only send to uk adresses.
I could get 3 posters in a uk shop for less than one would cost in Norway.

Thank,s (sorry about using the comma all the time, I,m on a laptop, and can,t find the damned button :) )

the folder with all the panoramas is accessible here:
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/master/pnp/pan/

so one of those downloader apps could grab them all :)

here,s an example of the stuff that,s there:

Many a time i`ve ran out of apostrophes and had to make-do with commas.. Nothing to be ashamed of..

I found my local print shop to be dirt cheap, i think they`re so competitive for business nowadays they have to be. Alternatively, try China ( seriously )..

How big you thinking? How many prints? Where you located.

I have a large format printer at work canon IPF8000i. I can see what it would cost to print for you.

Hi. I was thinking 3 or 4 A0 sized posters, with a few panoramas on each poster, that I can cut to size later. I live in Norway.

Hey Amish Bob.
So i looked into shipping a rolled tube with images to you, and just the shipping is over $100 usd. probably gonna be cheaper to print over there.
Sorry i couldn't help.
Phil

I went on a trip to the UK recently, and ordered the poster delivered at the hotel. Saved a bunch of money, and had a confused call from the reception. "Sir, we have just recieved a giant tube for you.. shall we bring it up??" ;p
