Community Project: Maxville
show user profile  DJ Petro
Since there has been renewed interest in the old Maxville project, I thought I would make a new post with the information about the project and the files needed to create your own addition to Maxville.

Maxforums member Dub. has created a page with instructions and the max file to get you started.

We also have a post where people have been talking about talking about the project and also has some shots from Maxville here.

Could an Admin make this thread a Featured Thread on the forum? Thanks.

i know!
instead of this ghey village thing, how about a multiplayer game, where members can use a sprite or model created by themselves as their avatar and do battle with each other or some such shit.
You could then bug game modders with plaintive cries for assistance, saying you have the models but just need some kind soul to build a game level for free.see how the monkeys like it when the boot is on the other shoe.

anyway im going to Tescos now, im out of cereal.

How do I make this?

"You MUST include a Premultiplied Alpha Channel so a 24bit PNG withapha channel (.png) would be most suitable"

When you go to save your file, it gives you all the options.

Here's what it should look like:

Does anyone have the original village PSD?

If not, we will have to start again.

And nice work Pruvaloo, the zip file is perfectly to spec.

The person that had the file hasn't posted on here is a while. I think it was Barbarian?
We will most likely have to start over.

If we start over... are we going to use the old pic as a base and build from that or do you need the rendered files from the old people again. I think I still have mine.
