Cloneing multiple objects, how to use snaps to allign them all?
show user profile  dantaeuk
-Okay so I am creating a barbarian wooden wall with individual posts.
-Currently when I create a post I am cloneing it and moving it next to the previous one to slowly make a wall.
-I have tried using snaps to line them up easier to speed up the process but can't find a setting that will place them touching the last one not overlapping.
- Doing this by hand is long winded as i will need over one hundred posts, what do you suggest as the best way to make my wall, bearing in mind the wall will end and curve.
- Maybe thier is a tool I don't know about?
thank you!

I would draw out a spline for the shape of my wall, and then use the spacing tool, like so:

Edit
I may have misunderstood you... I assumed you meant that your wall ends in a curve?

Good Call Dave - This is the most flexible way to do it. If your making replica's you can use the array tool like this...

Wow guys impressive big thanks. Loved the vids, that spline should work perfect dave, as i can just draw the outline of where i want the wall to go and im away, love it!

campbell thanks for showing me a different technique, think the spline will be an easier method to make all the curves and shaping though but that is still very useful to know :).
