Anyone use it and can suggest a good/cheap UK source for it ?

Type of clay I'm on about is the stuff that never sets, Van Aaken Modeling Clay type stuff, good for modeling concepts prior to Max, cheapest 3D printer money can buy :)

Can't help you.

But I'm curious, is zbrush not an option?

....looking for an alternative to actually having sex rather than looking at porn :)

I want to physically make something and use it as reference...get my fingers dirty....

...and no ...not zbrush until they fix that alien spaceship UI bug :D

I like to model in clay but normally end up baking what i make. Are you looking for a large bulk of clay or are you modeling small items. If small, then i use the stock stuff from local hobby stores. If you don't bake them, they will stay pliable as long as they are wrapped. I did a project two years ago and the left over clay was still good a few months ago.

Bulk....gray.....pliable...non-setting, can use white cotton for the wireframe :)

can't find a decent cheap uk source, it's all silly money.

I don't know of any UK sources but I ordered some from poland a while ago and it cost me €1.5/kg with shipping, just a price reference :D

the link is way forgotten, sorry but I'm pretty sure i found it while searching something like "modeling clay kg site:pl" on google. Germany (de) is pretty cheap too sometimes.

As for china - nah, if they send it by airmail its more like 2-4 weeks to EU, by land it can be months though.
