Cintiq, 1 dead pixel $1000 off
show user profile  Bobbyboy
I've come to the conclusion that the 12" cintiq isn't worth the money for the screen size and all the others are simply out of my price range. But I was looking around the wacom australia website and came across this offer. They have a batch of cintiq 21" with 1 dead pixel (they don't say where) and are selling them at around $2300 (usually $3300au), straight from the manufacturer, including warranty and everything (excluding the dead pixel)

What do you guys think. If any other dead pixels appeared they should be covered under the warranty, and I simply can't afford full price. I think I could live with a dead pixel easier than I could a 12" screen

Any suggestions would be very welcome
Cheers guys

I have 2 stuck green pixels on one of my philips screens, it falls under warranty, but it bothers me so little I'm just too lazy to get it replaced.
Unless you have a cluster of them or some flickering ones, you probably won't care enough. Dead is probably even more invisible than stuck green

i had 3 dead pixels at my psp screen. never noticed the pixels. only at the moment that the news came that many ppl had dead pixels. but from that way on it never bothered me.
and that is with a really small screen

so a 21 inch with 1 pixel you will never be bothered with it. especialy with 1000 discount.

youll be nuts if you dont do it if you can afford it.

But do you think I'll ever get a job at Pixar? That's one of my goals in life.

Wow Rob, the main question here is whether or not you will gain any benefit from using a cintiq at all?

Do you currently use a decent sized graphics tablet?
