Cheers. Hey, how'd you stick the glitter to the cone? Is that just photoshop or some specific setting for particles?

Cheers guys :D

herfst1. I originally made one branch of the fir cone and unwrapped it, then after it made replicated into a full cone I used pflow to apply the particles to the end by using a position object operator and using the 'density by greyscale option. then gave the proxy fir cone (hidden from camera) a black and white gradient map so only the ends were tipped with white.

All in all there are over 180,000 bits of glitter in the scene :) my machine didn't thank me. Took 80mins of scene processing before it even started to render the first square :)

you could have done the glitter on the cone via a second mixed-over texture rather particles - much more efficient.
little too much glitter on the cone imo is my only crit on the style not that you're looking for crits.
loving the glitter pots.

merry xmas mr g !

Ah PVA glue. Takes me back to my youth.

Nothing more satisfying than applying a fine coat pf PVA to your hand/ballsack and peeling it off when it dries.
