Can someone please create a quick video (screenshot) showing how they use Corona in Max.
I just want to see how people apply the Corona Materials.

Or, if someone wants to Skype and explain....

Also, if someone wants to donate any Corona Materials they have made... that would be very helpful.

I think this is going to be a situation where you are going to want to run some tutorials and figure out the basics. We can help, but we aren't going to spoon feed you.

Do you represent the whole CG community?..... or just the selfish few that only contribute by throwing empty beer bottles at beginners. If I ask for help it's because I genuinely need it....the last thing I want is a smart ass with condescending remarks.

Thankyou for your kind encouragement :)

I don`t think 9k meant it that way tbh rather just being pragmatic.. How to apply materials sounds like a fairly basic thing that is prob covered in some Corona intro tutorials..

You`ll get used to the tone around here, a thick skin is sometimes required as people can be brutally honest :)

Also, 9k has been around for a lot longer than yourself and is most respected. You've literally been here for 5 minutes and already clogged the boards ;)

As Dave says, take it on the nose, it's not an arsy or personal thing.

Ultimately he is right, i doubt you,ll find exactly what you're after here in that respect. Asking for the dots to be joined around here gets that general response usually.
There's a lot of seasoned pros here that expect a nube to help himself before asking others to wipe his nose. More respect is gained that way, thats how most of us learned.

9krausec is merely calling it as he sees it. There was no smart ass intentions, I'm sure.

Corona materials are applied in the same way that Vray materials are, and you say you know vray well, so it shouldn't be a problem?

Kurai- I understand your frustration and don't mean to turn you off to MF (great place). Just insisting that you spend some time doing some research before posting.

It took me a while to find my filter (I remember my days starting too).

That video took mere seconds to search for. Watch it and I bet he'll go over the basics about how to work with Corona materials (if not I'm sure there is another resource which is free and readily available).

I myself am currently in the process of getting familiarized with Rhino3D. It's a slow process but with enough research and practice a person can literally teach themselves anything. Also a great community (MF) is wonderful for when you get stuck too.

Keep on keeping on duder.

Two years ago I knew no software. I did everything by hand....using pen and ink on drafting paper and a drawing board...old school.... cos it gave the impression to the clients that you cared.... But....

I have learnt the following software in the last two years on YouTube:

After Effects
Lumion 3D
Sketchup + Vray

And I have started learning Max 2015 + Vray + Corona in the last three months.

So I am feeling pretty pleased with what I have achieved in a short time. And this has been achieved by pestering people and asking alot of questions.... and generally being a pain in the ass.

I have already watched (the handful) all the Corona Vids there are.... I am just interested to see other peoples workflows.... and how they apply materials. I am hoping that someone will NOT be open minded and diplomatic... and say this...Kurai...if you want professional results... you must do it this way. Case closed. Most of the time peoples answers are vague and criptic.... which means I have to post more threads to try and understand.

I will not bog down the Forum anymore.... I will go back to scratching around on YouTube.

But I joined this forum for design friendship as well as for knowledge. I have seen people beaten to death on the streets and acid poured on them as they lay dying begging for I apologise if I am reaching out abit. I am trying to find some fellowship in this wolrd.

Thanks for your kind response 9krausec. And I apologise for barking.

There is a sense of guilt and embaressmant when you ask for help.... and I always become tense when I do post requests incase I could get slapped down.

I went to art college to learn Fine Art painting. I was very excited. When I asked the teachers to teach me some painting techniques... they said if I want to learn painting I had to go to the library.
But, they took great delight and went to great efforts to pschologically destroy the students intellectually. There logic for this was to prepare them for the real world. I quickly lost the love I had for painting.... and years later taught myself to paint on YouTube.

There is a beauty to the master disciple relationship that has been lost in the modern age.

sorry you had to go through that, but around here people who ask for help and show that they've made some effort towards finding it themselves are respected the most.
A few people who have repeatedly asked for help and taken it on-board have very quickly gone on to huge studios like Blizzard, so we're proud of them.

Don't ever be embarrassed to ask for help here. Avoid asking us to spoon-feed you.

He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.

Thanks Jareu.

You were one of the first I spoke to when I joined the site and it's fitting you will be the last. I realised Forums are not for me.... I try too hard to fit in and end up pissing people off.

You are a great bunch of guys.... and I am grateful to Nik for introducing me to the site.
I have learnt an incredible amount in a short time and people respond to questions at lighting speed.

I will venture on the Area Forum with a new identity :)
