show user profile  Corrupted
Hey, guys, I have a career assignment, and wondered if one of you would be so kind as to answer a couple of questions for me so I can pass. I want to be an animator, and thus have to interview an animator, so i turned here. Anyways theres only 11 questions, please I only need one person to take 5 minutes out of their day.

Entrepreneur's name:
Type of business:

1. What kinds of products or services do you offer?

2. How long have you been in the business?

3. What type of business or organization do you have, and why did you choose it?

4. When did you first considor becoming an entrepreneur?

5. What was your main reason for wanting to start your business?

6. Give a brief history of your business.

7. If you were to start over today, what would you do differently?

8. If you were starting over today, what would you do the same?

9. What s the biggest challenge of owning your own business (or just work in general?)

10. What do you feel are the most important characteristics for an entrepreneur to have?

11. What advice would you offer to someone who is considering becoming an entrepreneur?

Entrepreneur's name: Stamen Worsthorme
Type of business: Private Military Contractor

1. What kinds of products or services do you offer?
Technical animation and training manuals for untargeted weapons delivery systems, back-end propaganda/subversion services for foreign diplomats in potentially hostile areas.

2. How long have you been in the business? 16 years

3. What type of business or organization do you have, and why did you choose it?
Top-down pyramid style corporate structure with the Director of Operations (myself) dictating all plans and strategies to staff. Its important for us to make rapiddecisions without the delay of committee approval, and to maintain a high level of secrecy to avoid stirring up controversy when our operations enter legal grey areas.

4. When did you first considor becoming an entrepreneur?
It was 1976. I was embedded with contras in Nicaraugua as an amateur radio technician. Due to a technical malfunction we discovered that certain radio frequencies produce retinal bleeding among a large fraction of native Nicarauguan subjects. This technology was integrated into the overall propaganda and disinformation strategy, and the rest as they say "is history."

5. What was your main reason for wanting to start your business?
Since I was a young man, my all-consuming goal has been to install gold-plated toiletries in all of my penthouse residencies at great expense to the taxpayer. It has been everything I'd hoped it would be.

6. Give a brief history of your business.
[redacted]
7. If you were to start over today, what would you do differently?
I feel my profit margins have suffered greatly from my few remaining shreds of compassion for my fellow man. Were I to start over, I would destroy all traces of humanity with methamphetamine and sensory deprivation therapy.
8. If you were starting over today, what would you do the same?
[redacted]
9. What s the biggest challenge of owning your own business (or just work in general?)
Living with the guilt of destroying so many lives and fleecing impoverished taxpayers out of their paychecks while reaping government kickbacks for my own profit. Hahahaha just kidding, I actually love every minute.
10. What do you feel are the most important characteristics for an entrepreneur to have?
Offshore bank accounts, un-tappable satelite phone, a reliable escape plan.
11. What advice would you offer to someone who is considering becoming an entrepreneur?
This is the most important advice you will ever recieve: Never, ever, cross me or attempt to compete with me or my business interests. This would be a tragic mistake for you and your family.

I don't quite understand this... you want to be an animator, and thus have to interview an animator... so you draw up a questionnaire that would better suit higher level management? There are probably quite a lot of professional animators on this forum, or at-least a lot who have had to do animation work for commercial purposes. But your questions don't appear to be aimed at them.

So if I call myself an animator I must run a business by now, have history, goals, advice to offer.
What if I just want to animate, not run business.
Essentially, what Dave said ^

If its anything like any careers/work experience/placement schemes I've ever done, he was given those questions to ask by his tutors and told to ask them to someone, regardless of whether they suit the career of that person.

I am in the school of Engineering and Design at my university. When I did a work placement at a web designers, I had to answer questions (the answers for which determine whether I pass the whole module), which were based entirely around having worked in manufacturing/engineering, not web design. "Who are your company's main suppliers?", "By what means do supplies arrive?", "What is the nature of the 'value added’ by your company?" ... relevent? heh :/

Why wouldn't it be fine to use mine? I redacted all information that could be construed to put national security at risk.
