Car chase project

I have a 12 week project in which I'm planing on having an Austin Mini driving around, taking damage, and all that malarkey.

I was planing on using morph targets for the collision damage but apparently that's too old hat and i have to use cloth to simulate metal crumpling. I've looked around and all i can find on this is that it was used in the 2003 Hulk film. Am I just googling the wrong thing or am i unlikely to find some kind of tutorial on it?

Another thing that has been suggested is scripting particles rather than using the standard. I was under the impression that the 'particle view' was designed so that scripting wasn't needed unless doing some freaky stuff.

Cheers for any light shed.

Hrm

I would use cloth to make damage and then Use morph targets to animate from those.

Yes particle flow is DAMN powerful. You wont need more than that. I give you 10% odds to finish. Prove me wrong.

Cheers

Its a uni project. The unit was set up because people were so crap at their final project, so they are making us do a small on first, to get our heads round the whole project thing. for the unit I don't have to 'finish' but hey, its me, I prefer staring at max to sleeping.

I'll post up a few tests I've done so you can rip they apart. This is the only place I can get any good crit from.
