Can anyone write code?
show user profile  stevey2shoes
HI

Silly quesiton but, can anyone write HTML code on here?

i had 2 really simple jobs needed doing on my website but don't wirte code myeelf.

I basically wanted people to like my facebook page by clicking an image or follow me on Twitter by clicking an image.

I realise that Twitter and Facebook offer these oprions, but I didnt want the standard buttons that come with this.

I know you get chancers on here expecting work for nothing but I'd be willing to pay, providing I could afford it. This is a genuine request.

Feel free to contact me on Twitter https://twitter.com/cliveaustin1976
or email me on cliveaustin29@yahoo.co.uk
thanks in advance

I think Jurassic Park said it best

"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should."

Directing a user to your twitter/facebook page is the nicer way to do this, rather than having them immediately like and follow you by clicking on an external link.

sure.
Either way,. I make it clear from the image that I've used that they will be liking my page or following me... so they know what they are doing when they click the buttons.

If you would do that, your website and facebook and twitter page would join my hatelist.

People usually don't read when there's an image on a website, so nope, they would not know.

So use stuff like these instead: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

Horrible idea..I almost dislike you for even thinking it would be a good idea.
Just use the standard buttons so people can avoid them like they usually do.

OK, I wasnt asking if people thought it was right or wrong.. I simply wanted to know if anyone could write code so that when you clicked on an image that CLEARLY said "LIKE MY FACEBOOK PAGE".. that it did just that.
I dont think that's being dishonest.
I'll ask elsewhere if nobody wants the work.

Oh so you want just a button than?
Ask a clickbait site by the way, I`m sure they have the code you are looking for.

I can do it if you want
all you need to do is add a link to the images, its not code. just a link.
send me a mail with the details at gonzalo at curiosity.pe

It was not clear he just wants a custom button.

How about some annoying javascript popups or some malware too?
